China CRC publishes new documents for annual activity report for new substances
Many new substance notifiers have recently received internal notices from the Chemical Registration Centre of MEP and they have been requested to submit 2012 annual activity report for new substances before 1st March 2013. Those companies who fail to meet the final deadline might receive certain administrative penalties.
According to the article 36 of MEP's order No.7, certificate holders of new substance notification in China shall submit the actual volume of manufacture or import of the new chemical substance for the previous year before 1 Feb of each calendar year.
CIRS's Comments
It is not clear what penalties will be. However, companies who have obtained notification certificates shall take post-notification obligations seriously to avoid possible consequences (for example, fine or damage of reputation).
More information about post-notification obligations can be found here.
