On 29 April 2020, Ministry of Ecology and Environment released the Measures for Environmental Management Registration of new chemical substances (MEE Order No. 12). On 17 August 2020, the Guideline on New chemical Substance Registration (for Consultation) was published, with the detailed information such as registration scopes, registration types, registration procedures, required documents, polymer registration, new use management, and post obligations, etc.

According to the China Food Safety Law (2015 Version), Chinese labels must be shown to Chinese customs when importing overseas pre-packaged food products to China.
