Japan to Amend the Industrial Safety Law

Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) plans to announce next week that the amendments to the Industrial Safety and Health Law (ISHL) will come into effect on 1st June 2016.
In the latest discussion, Labor Policy Committee of MHLW passed the amendments to the ISHL. The newly amended law rules that:

A Labeling Exemption List is established for simple substances. But powder of these simple substances, such as Yttrium, indium, cadmium, silver, chromium, cobalt, tin, thallium, tungsten, tantalum, copper, lead, nickel, platinum, hafnium and vanadium iron, manganese, molybdenum and rhodium, are excluded.
Critical value has been set for chemicals whose labeling has been required recently. In case the amount of one substance contained in a product is less than the critical value, this product can be exempted from labeling.
The critical value of chemicals, of which the labeling is required, has been amended.
